Mishmash.

The first thing that comes to my mind with this word is: FOOD.
A delicious light dish of tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, egg, and parsley.
Its is also known as 'lečo' in Slovak and Czech, 'Letscho' in German, 'lecsó' in Hungarian, 'lecso' in Polish, and 'Лечо' in Ukrainian. Even though the latter can also be used in Bulgaria, people refer there to it as mishmash, or 'мишмаш'. I just love that word.
In the end, there are many variations on the dish. I personally prefer it simple, with a lot of egg.

I know, not the same for everyone.
The word itself also means 'a confused mixture of things' (Thanks, Merriam-Webster).
Which also kind of precisely describes what I was planning on to do with this blog.

Firstly and fore-mostly, I wanted to make this into a little database of restaurants in Amsterdam. Not a pretentious guide to the Amsterdam restaurants, but as an info-page for my friends. Although I love wining and dining, and think that feasting in the best restaurants of the world is one of the best professions in the world, I am still not qualified to be a Gault Millau resident critic.
So if you have been left wondering what to do for lunch or dinner, you are welcome to read my rantings on some of the places I have been to.

Secondly, Amsterdam is an absolutely amazing city. So why not dedicate one more page to highlighting its awesomeness; all the interesting places and faces, why not?

Bottom-line:
Do not expect daily or periodical posts, or consistency in format or content.

It is a true mishmash, after all!
